I've been using a cropped version of this as my PS3 background for a while now, and honestly think it's pretty cool uncropped. Nudged the levels just a touch, taking the background from a very dark (near-black) brown to a much nearer-black brown.

For those curious, this was shot in broad daylight, just shortly after noon, on a nearly cloudless day. The background was heavily shadowed by some shrubbery, to the point even grass wouldn't grow there. This daffodil, on the other hand, was getting plenty of sunlight.
