Gulliver is the reliable type, so it's really his own fault that he's the one responsible for the bouncing baby.

Growing up in War Forged instilled a strong work ethic in him that he's finally able to act on. He's determined to keep Violet in line and refuses to be defeated by her disregard for authority.

Although he puts on a brave face, Gulliver does miss his family. His mothers were kind and his father was always supportive of him. Their strength is what kept him alive so long, and for that he will always be grateful.

History

A good boy.

Gulliver was always weak as a child. The fourth born to small village herders, his parents cared for him as best they could. He took ill often, even losing most of his hearing as a result. His health improved slowly as he grew, but not enough that he could join his family in the fields. And though they attempted to teach him, his body simply couldn't keep up. When a particularly harsh winter struck and there was too little food to go around, it was decided that he had to be culled. They could no longer afford to keep him healthy at the risk of their other children who would be able to provide for them one day. So Gulliver was sent off to Aodh for auction to the highest bidder. And while leaving his family hurt him deeply, part of him was relieved that he could finally help them somehow.

After being whisked away to Valore he was handed off to a slave trader to assess his value. Sick as he'd been in the past, the change in environment seemed to agree with him. He was still weak, but it was the kind that could be improved with time. He took to the plants in his benefactor's garden, some small reminder of home in the big city. The slave trader noticed his interest, and Gulliver was taught how to care for them. After a year of rehabilitation, he was sold to an older couple to tend their garden as he'd been trained. And he did, until Violet arrived and any hope of him being able to do his job was lost. She tore through the flower beds, ripped up the herbs and trampled the lawn. He could only watch in horror and dejectedly pick up the pieces. The boy wasn't sure how to handle her at first; she was his masters' grandchild, so it wasn't like he could tell her to stop surely. Even they had no success in curbing her behavior. But his patience soon wore thin, and finally he snapped at her. To his complete surprise, she sat down immediately and looked at him, seemingly as shocked as he was. The entire event was surreal. And in that moment it was somehow decided that he would be the one to look after her.

History...Violet encountered the stray on one of her adventures outside. She immediately took to the pooch, in part due to his remarkable resemblance to Gulliver. With much coaxing they were able to lure the dog home and he hasn't left since. Bonding closely with his horse counterpart, they work together to keep Violet out of trouble.

Other

- Gulliver is completely deaf in their right ear with limited hearing in the left. Meeko compensates for this by walking on Gulliver's right and alerting them when something happens.
