Description For use with apophysis .

Alleviates the need for editing the HQI Batch script each time you use it by utilizing query windows to gather all variables in a clean and simple manner (even handles filetype and prefix).

ALSO ADDED: A timer like Export Flame (CTRL + X) rendering to show your time remaining for each flame in the batch!

If you think this script is missing anything or needs anything changed, please let me know.

In case you don't know (though I do think some sort of "if you can't figure this out you shouldn't be using it in the first place" is in order):

1. Save this to your Apophysis 2.0/Scripts directory.
2. Run it on the batch you watch to render with HQI Batch Rendering. Input all the parameters, the script saves everything for you.
3. Go to your Apoph directory, run render.batch. bat, it DOES have a progress meter (because of this script), so you will know when the current flame will be done.

Also check out my apophysis tutorial here: [link]

Comments welcome.

If you are like many people and have your browser settings to have that type of file (or other text only files) open directly without a download prompt, just right click on the download arrow and use Save Target As and save it into your apo scripts directory.

By default thats in:

c:\program files\apophysis 2.0\scripts

Sorry for the form letter, and lack of a decent comment, but I wanted to ensure that you knew I had at one point in time (not recently) chosen your work (here) as a "Thumb" and/or "Written Word of the Moment".
This collection has led to me making a specific journal entry {other than my front page}, "PREVIOUS SPOTLIGHT/THUMBS OF THE MOEMENT " to spotlight all those who I have attempted to give some sort of well deserved (if tiny) credit...
sorry it is the best I can do and you deserve more...

I'm a bit dumb, I guess. I can't right-click and save because the file that will be saved in Firefox is download.html. So I copied and pasted into a text file, but what should this be named? When I name it according to your instructions (render.batch. bat), it runs in an MSDos window so fast I can't see what it's doing and nothing is rendered. I tried renaming it to hqirender2.asc and it won't even load in Apophysis. Could you give a slow learner some help? I'm lost on how to use this.

You should save it as a .asc file, then run it from within apophysis. It will produce [link] file, run that and it will start the batch render process.

I got it running, thank you for the help! Does it save the parameters somewhere?

Thanks for the script...but, I noticed that when I was adding this into the scripts that there was another HQI Batch.asc there. Does that have to be deleted when adding this script??

? I named them differently, there shouldn't be a problem. You run this script instead of the old one but leave the old one there...don't delete it.

OK....I didn't go to the folder to download the script...I openned it directly and did the ol' cut and paste bit using the script edit button in the Apophysis tool bar and added a new file. So I just added your name at the end..

Great I was looking for something like
When I saw the timer before I thought I would have to make my own script to include it in the HQI Batch.
But you did it for me

Oh yeah Intresting teaser for the winter contest
hmmm I should get cracking too
Maybe something to compete with it (all in good fun)
