so I have this metroidvania style game idea in my brain and these two are depictions of two of the paths a player can choose to follow in the story.

embrace the new age and reval in the technological achievements the hands of man have created. meld your physical form with the machine and let your mind be at once itself yet also millions by transcending into the cloud and the fledgling AI god! evolve past the weakness of your impermanent flesh into an immortal nigh indestructible body of wires, tempered alloys, and artificial neural frameworks that shall never degrade. cast off the crumbling shell the old so called gods cursed your kind with and build yourself into a being far greater then their meager minds could conceive of. technology is mans achievement and the means to take the thrones of the gods!

heed the call to arms of the gods that guided and nurtured your forbearers. show modern man that the hollow place they felt all their lives was created when they turned against nature and cut themselves off from the gods that one fought beside and for man. heft the weapons, powers, and wisdom the gods of old offer. Ragnarok follows on your heals, burning down the corrupted world of Ozmandios and his upstart false God. do not fear for from the ashes shall rise the light of magic and wisdom of old to the world and purpose and power to fill the void in all mens souls.
