I quietly and carefully inched closer to the sleeping dragon, my heart pounding and mind heavy with fear. Yes, I was in a dragon's lair, filled with gold, jewelry and gemstones, like a robber's stash. But my eyes were set on only one special item. A sapphire blue shaped snowflake necklace. I had to take it while I had the chance. As quiet as mouse, I sped towards a pile of precious jewelry, trying not to trip over anything. I bent down to search thoroughly through the pile, and gasped as I found the necklace.

Suddenly, the dragon woke up from his slumber, opened one eye and turned his head to look at me. Faster than a flash of lightening, I grabbed the necklace and ran for my life, my heart faster than ever. The dragon, whom was called Lorge by everyone, snarled, fire and smoke came out from his nostrils. I looked back, being a fool I was and let a loud, shrill scream escape from my throat. His blood red eyes glared into my very soul and his ripped, colossal, flame orange and raven black wings spread open, flying towards me with tremendous speed. Having no other way of escape except chucking myself on the ground, I did, and felt a breeze and heard the angered screech of Lorge. With a mighty swipe of his spiky, jewelry covered tail, he sent me flying down the mountain. "This is it," I thought, thinking of only my doom. My fall felt like a millennium, gravity slowly pulling me down to Earth.

Just then, I remembered about the necklace. Slowly, I turned my head to face my right hand. There was the necklace, still in my tight, firm grip. I quickly slipped it over my head, for the pendant of the necklace to instantly hit me in my left eye. I let out a howl of pain, and wiped away some gathering tears. Thankfully, with the necklace on, I had powers, powers to summon, create and control the wind, clouds and many other things I yet had to discover. I slowly summoned a gust of wind to blow me to safety, and created some fluffy clouds just in case the wind died down and let me fall, which did just happen. I groaned as I landed on the cloud. I got up, my bones sore and clicking, pain searing through my entire body and my vision slightly blurry. Shaking, I took a small, timid and hesitant step forward, as scared as a mouse in a cat infested house. I had expected myself to fall right through the cloud but instead, my cut covered foot stayed firmly on top of the cloud. I smiled, and jumped from cloud to cloud, not caring about my injuries till I reached the ledge of the rocky, dangerous and dull mountain, home to Lorge. I made my way onto the ledge, and made a fluffy cloud staircase all the way up to Lorge's lair, hoping he wouldn't notice the staircase.

Sadly, he did and poked it with his chipped, ugly and yellow claw and the clouds disappeared with a POOF. I growled, shaking my fist at him, and thought of a sharp shard of ice. I gasped as my free hand created a large, dangerous icicle. I smiled, and aimed it up at Lorge. He looked down at me, unamused until I released the icicle, and it flew into the air, and shot him in the eye. With a scream of rage, he flew down at me. I gulped, panicking. Then, I started to run around, screaming loudly, as he suddenly started spewing out lava. I quickly made an icy platform for me to stand on, and jumped towards it, just as the lava started slowly flowing down the ledge.

An unbarable pain struck me, and I looked down. My left foot was burning. MY LEFT FOOT WAS BURNING! My icy platform started to melt, and I panicked. "Oh dear Lord!" I screeched, my foot suddenly fell off my leg, and into the lavafall. Oh, the pain! The pain! I quickly took my thick, black ribbon off, and tied it around my... The remains of my ankle.
