I've been working on this piece for probably a year on and off, just trying to get it right, and I'm really very happy with it now. It means a lot to me.

This is part of Ash's backstory, both FLF ash and Ash. It's also kinda a tribute to a lot of my friends, especially
Greyson. They've all been sent over seas before, and thankfully they've all made it home, in more or less one piece. A lot more of my friends will probably be going dangerous places after they graduate from VMI, my roomates, my mentors, the cadre that made my life hell while I was there...and all I can do is hope that they'll all come home okay.

While Ash was in the middle east his platoon was sent out to scout a seemingly abandoned town and were ambushed. The firefight was a quick one, but not one without injuries. The enemy had planted IEDs and more then one man had lost a limb, or more. Ashley himself had an ear taken off by a piece of shrapnel, and thankfully that was his only physical injury, and they managed to sew it back on. His mind has been a little more of a mess since then, though.

He has a scar on his forehead and where the stitches healed around his ear.
Do not ask him if he's ever killed anyone.

For the life of me I cannot find the pic I referenced. It's been on my computer since I first got it, and appears to be lost everywhere else. I might change the hair later, or put a helmet on him, but I'm pretty happy with it for now
