I love the fact that the shading fades away a certain parts. Adds a bit of variety and really compliments the hard outline.
Also, this got me thinking; I wonder if tying balloons around an actual chicken would help it fly... huh.

After loosing sight of the ground Scootaloo realized she had no way of getting down. So she drifted for many days and many nights over countless miles until she found herself over a vast new landscape. Suddenly a shot rang out *Bam!* and her balloons deflated. Terrified, Scootaloo began to plummet out of the sky. In that brief moment of terror however, Scootaloo found courage. She spread her wings, and glided gracefully to the ground. She found herself in a strange new world with odd, and unusually dull, colors. A sign posted on the road read: "Welcome to Alabama". Not knowing how far she had drifted from Equestria Scootaloo began to panic. She called for help. "Anypony out there!?" She shouted. "Over here!" echoed a strange voice. Scootaloo ran toward the voice as her deflated balloons dragged behind her. Crawling through thick brush and downed timber Scootaloo came upon a horrifying sight. A creature unlike anything she had ever seen. It was like a pony but one which only stood on its two back legs. Its bare pale skin was covered in blue cloth and its golden mane hung over its eyes so much so that they were barely visible. "What da' heck is that!?" Shouted the strange creature as it fell backward into a thicket. Another creature appeared. Scootaloo was terrified. "That aint' no duck!" shouted the creature. "Ahhh!" Shouted Scootaloo. "Ahhhh!" hollered the two creatures. "What are you monsters!" screamed Scootaloo as she hid her eyes under her hooves.

She's not a flightless chicken, she's a late bloomer! Just you wait, Scoots will fly
