I love this! The dirt flying and the shoe partly visible from behind the dust. I also really like how the sun parkles on the tail and the left hind. The cropping is great and the b&w workd perfect. Only thing that bothers me is the electric wire on the backround. To be honest I don't take a photo if there's something bothering on the backround. I personally don't know how to photoshop them away but if you can, try it and se how it looks afterwards.

I'm using GIMP and there's tons of stuff I still have to learn and I dunno either (yet) how to take something out so that the result looks natural.
Like here [link] I'm really bothered by the "cylinder" thingys (dunno what they're called in english) on the backround. Lol nobody else might even notice them but I can't see anything else. I have too much self critic.
But horse photography isn't easy so if you get a great shot, you should be happy and your is great.

I love the focus on the horse's legs here. I like the way you captured the dust and some dirt clods being flung up as well. I also really like that this is in black and white. I think it gives the photo a greater sense of depth and more emotion.

Nice shot, I like the focus the dust gives to the horse. One critique though - the wire fence in the background is a tad distracting, I find that my eyes follow it and then stop to focus on the horse's ear instead of looking at the intended focal point (which I assume is the horse in its entirety - kicking up the dust.) Regardless, a great perspective.
