Description
Two unlikely narrow gauge bedfellows, at an unlikely location!
In Carrog yard at the Llangollen Railway, the Ffestiniog's 'George England' No.4 Palmerston and the Talyllyn's Fletcher Jennings No.2 Dolgoch rub shoulders, inbetween giving footplate rides on a temporary stretch of dual-gauge track. Shot taken during the Llangollen Railway's Steel, Steam & Stars 3 event, in April 2012.

Intact Duke is based on the England Class like Prince, Princess, Welsh Pony, Mauntanier (Scrapped) , Palmerston and Little Giant (Scrapped) and Rheneas is based on Dolgoch

Thanks! And a scene which, in one respect, has been repeated elsewhere... (Namely down at Tywyn station)

Awesome shot and beautiful locos. They remind me of two characters from a certain show from my childhood.

Thanks. The livery has changed since this scene, but it does look just as smart...
