How did you get such fine detail using marker? and such smooth shading

the very fine line/detail are done with copic multiliners 0.03 and 0.05
and the shading with many layers of markers of different tones that blend one into another, see my Arya tutorial on my main DA page for more details

Wow I need some serious work with markers. My best shading comes from finger rubbing but that damages the markers so I prefer not to do it. I'll have to try that overlay technique
