First of all: whatever I say is just my personal opinion. I did not invent photography (even if I sometimes feel old enough for that).
From a technical point of view, I doubt that this photo could have been taken much better. The focus pane sits, where it needs to sit, and I love the depth of field. I actually went though the image with an eyedropper tool and, yes, everything there: from real black to (almost) complete white - just dense enough, not to break out. Respect for that.
The composition: I would have chosen a slightly higher camera level, to get a little more eye-"white" underneath the iris and to add to the fact, that an adult is taking a photo of a child here. I also would have wished for the hairband being a closed arc over the forehead. That's just a feeling, but I think that would have "closed" the image on the upper edge and would have supported the viewers concentration on the face. On the lower edge, two millimters more would have done the same for the ... dancing dress, I guess? No idea, if it really is one, but it should be, because the face is a dancers face.
I was deeply impressed (impressed enough, at least, to sit down and write a comment) by the concentration and awareness of the girls face. I have seen expressions like this on dancers (and I don't mean hiphop, I mean real dancing to real music - or without music at all). Another significant reason to write about this photo, is the lack of cuteness and prettyness (is that a word in English? You get the thought, I think). This girl is not cute, and she is not pretty. She is beautiful.
What we have here is a very good image (in the meaning of the word) of a self-aware, beautiful young person who gives (to me, again: it's a personal opinion) the feeling, that she begins to know about her place in the multiverse - and who is willing to use this space, without aggression, just out of her own right.
As a pre-resume: if the photo would have been twice the resolution, it would have landed at my wall of honor. And there is no space for more than 12 at a time, and I would have taken another one down.
And as a final resume: from the gallery I tend to believe that the girl is your daughter. The self-awareness I talked about makes me believe, that you did not only do well as photographer, but you also delivered an excellent job as a father.
Kudos for that, too.
