This is Cho Hakkai from Saiyuki series. Somehow I've always imagined him as having black hair: I think it was the result of how his hair is always inked in the series. And becuase of that, the scene where he was first rescued by Gyojo always is dubbed in my mind as Gyojo thinking to himself, "Years ago, I found a drenching black cat with striking emerald green eyes. The cat looks at me, its eyes said, Kill me"; so I save it."
