Description I awoke to the ghost of the alarm clock
Sighing, for I found the school year
Had come and gone
The morning light was distant and
Somehow empty without a reason
To get out of bed this early
I sought that sleep of the dead
So that I might continue dreaming
But that persistent nagging was
Never to grant me peace
Reluctantly, I awoke and rolled
From my sheets onto
The floor, groaning quietly
As I wondered what surprises the day
Might yet hold for me now
In the middle of the summer
As time seems to stand suspended
By the fear of transition and
Supersonic speeds of this phantasm
We call life
Funny, I just wanted to dream
