It's definitely more tricky than wood! Only thing is you have to hold the burner on the surface a little longer than you do with wood. The texture can be rough sometimes, which makes shading pretty difficult, and the smell is terrible! Hahaha, but I don't really have much experience with burning bone, so don't take my word for it
