Robin’s gloves creaked in the cold November air, his cape snapping tightly as he eyed the activity down at the docks below. The Baltic freighter was about to unload its lethal cargo, and the interested parties were still negotiating terms.
Speedy came up beside him on the roof top of the NYC Port Authority, an arrow already nocked to his bow.
“Whoa. Who’s the big guy?” Roy’s breath misted in the frigid night air.
The “big guy” in question was standing guard over the suspect proceedings with his arms crossed over his massive chest. He was at least eight feet tall, thick as an oak, with a black uniform studded with bronze rivets. His face seemed set in a perpetual scowl.
“His name’s Baran Flinders, but he goes by Mammoth.”
“No kidding.”
“He’s muscle for hire, but he never goes anywhere without his sister Selinda, a matter transmuter code-named Shimmer; you can bet she’ll be around somewhere, probably still on the ship. They’re both extremely dangerous, but we have to shut this deal down tonight, before these drugs hit the streets.”
“Agreed.” Roy nodded, ignoring a twinge he thought himself long past.
Robin turned to the others.
“Alright, people, like we planned it…”
Wonder Girl, Starfire and Kid Flash strained for action, waiting on their leader’s word.
Dick smiled grimly.
“Titans, together!”
