Description
body div#devskin0 hr { }
It makes us patter around
on bare feet,
touching hard wood
or tiled floors.
We swath ourselves
in thick clothing,
to ward it off.
Cups of hot chocolate
and a warm hearth
keeps the chill away.
It follows along,
whether it rains or snow.
But it's a parasite,
chills through the skin,
steals the warmth,
taking feelings in the limbs.
And never gives it back

Interesting. The cold could as well mean depression, with "patter around on bare feet"=feel uncomfortable, "swatch ourselves in thick clothing"=distance ourselves from everyone; and everything else pretty much fitting perfectly.

One of many things that take and never gives back. Well done Cheng.
