Description On the advice of AlexRaccoonGlider , I've been trying to practice on just drawing my characters in various poses. I've been drawing these to pass a bit of time during my break-periods at work lately.
There may be at least another page to come, but I haven't had the chance to start on any more yet, though I have one or two ideas...
Here we have some poses that I copied from my books on Preston Blair's animation and on mastering drawing in the style of manga... in any case, I used poses from the books as reference - but the characters used here are all my own intellectual property.

Hey Dan, you wanted critique? Well you're going to get some. I can see that you've taken my advice seriously and I see that you're doing some artistic posing and practice here and it shows that you're doing a pretty good job making sure everyone is in proportion and getting the anatomy down pact.

Vision) I can see here Danbuster and pals are doing poses that matches their personality, such as Danbuster gearing up for a boxing match, Spencer is running away from someone or something, Frederick looks like he's dancing a jig, Hydrex and Pearl are holding hands in a loving way (nice hair btw) and Jenny has that "doctor's advice" pose here that really matches here.

Originality) Even though this is artistic practice, and they're your own characters, I can see that you have been practicing using that book though it's quite tricky to point out who is taller then the other and so forth while everyone is all scattered across the page, but I can really sense that even though you're practicing, you could use a few details that can be ironed out here.

Technique) A quick slab of pencil on a paper works and I can see some motion lines in a few images as well as where you were erasing, its good for sketches that's for sure.

Overall Impact) Im giving it 3.5 out of 5 due to the fact its just for art practice and I see you're really working hard on it and I do wish you lots of luck when you do the other chars here, though in the end, I'll suggest some tidbits to help you as well.

Reccomends) When it comes to doing poses for practice, I would suggest you should look up your favorite characters from cartoons, games, anime, etc and slow the animation down frame by frame and just match your characters to what you see on youtube/tv/videogame/etc. Never hurts to "steal like an artist" since it's tricky to come up with something original. Also looking up "Life Drawing" books and such helps, in order to get the proportions down pact.

Only 3.5? Ah well, thanks very much for the critique and fave...
Yeah, I wasn't drawing strictly to scale with respect to each picture here, concentrating more on poses, but I reckon they turned out rather well considering.
Meanwhile, I'll have to see what else I can come up with...

Danbuster's all " Put up your dukes ". Not sure why they're called dukes though.

I like the pose of Danbuster boxing. All he needs is pair of gloves and decent boxing bag.

Heh, thanks very much!
He's certainly a physical sort of hare... but he doesn't really bother with boxing gloves - just squares off against a bad guy and knocks his block off!

Solid pose work here, each one fits their respective characters' personalities too I see.

Thanks very much, Mark!
Yup, I was finding some nice poses here and deciding on those who would best fit that pose whom I hadn't used yet...

Heh, heh... thanks Luke!
Yeah, the Preston Blair pose of a rowdy rabbit... though the difference here being that at least Danbuster wears pants! (Well, Union Jack boxers, anyway...)

Nice practice work here, some of these poses certainly do look pretty cartoonish.

Heh, yeah... the more cartoonish ones would be those based on Preston Blair...
