Ultra Fractal 4.02----
I finally got around to learning Ultra Fractal, and I'm very happy about it. UF makes REAL fractals- not the fractal flame stuff of Apophysis or the strange attractors of Chaoscope. And I think it turned out well

Indeed it did turn out well! Holy crap, that would make a very cool iris for an eye... almost mechanical in nature, though. This is definately a

Thank you! As usual, I wasn't paying attention to the time, but I would guess that it took about two hours, in two sittings. I was also familiarizing myself with the program though in that time, as this is the first fractal I've made with it.

Damn, that's awesome. Luke loves this and we were looking at the downloading of it briefly this afternoon. We'll look into it more later. Don't you think that the circular part of that, the "epicenter", would look good photoshopped onto an actual eye? I think I just may have a thing for eyes... Is UF an easy program?
Anyhoo... it's tripendicular. The colors really set it off, too.

If you can use Photoshop, you can use UF- the interface is obviously tailored to be similar. (You can even export fractals straight to pdf, although that's not what I did here because some of the blending modes in UF aren't in Photoshop and vice-versa, such as the one that made this green instead of the purplish-blue that every layer was.) However, like PS, it's not the program itself that's tricky- it's making something with it.

Ok, thanks! I'm hopeful that I can make an attempt, or at least watch Lucas make an attempt. Probably the latter.
