Simply classic! Mega detailed at some point. You might have been able to spray a little texture onto the grass and also possibly texture the roads and the ground underneath the building.

for a first, this is realy good the red looks a little *too* red for bricks though

After trying (unsucessfully) to start a few pixel art projects, I know how hard it is to even keep a large canvas going 8)

I admire your work; for a first try, this one is excellent
