Description
Moonlight reflects off the shimmeringSilver sword as it savagely severs the
Innocent flesh of the unwitting, undeserving
Bystander, caught in a ruthless and
Worthless war of shockingly naive
Ideals. The perpetrator slinks, unseen, back into
The night, cold and lonely.
Come daylight, the sidewalks will begin to fill
Where collateral damage lies bleeding
Seeping across pavement into countless
Lives who say with a disgusted sneer:
"Bleed on someone else's goddamn sidewalk,
Someone else's goddamn town,
Goddamn life."
A cloth wipes the shining blade clean.
It looks nice there, in its display case-
Innocent. The little notch on the blade
Where spine was savagely shattered
Gives it a little character.
