awesome work!! i love making these things, but i cant imagine making that many! 
this reminds me of an old story i was read as a child.  
"After being diagnosed with leukemia from the radiation, Sadako's friend told her to fold origami paper cranes in hope of making a thousand of them. She was inspired to do so by the Japanese legend that one who created a thousand origami cranes would be granted a wish. Her wish was simply to live." 
She sadly died before she could finish all 1 thousand. It was a sad story, and i curse my teacher for making me cry in class after reading it.
It's a true story, and there's even a statue of her in Japan where people go and make paper cranes for her.
