I think I was actually in Louisiana for this one. I took a trip from TX to IL and we crossed 8 state lines, so I kind of lost track of what state we were in as soon as we were out of Texas.

That car and the setting looks almost exactly like a spot outside Crockett Texas, that was why I was like..wtf? I used to live there before I moved to Colorado.
I miss the pines there. They are smaller here!

Ha! I moved from CO to TX I miss the mountains. They're smaller here.
I don't think I've been out in that area before. Are there a decent amount of abandoned places and things in the area?

Oh my god are you fucking serious? rofl
Lufkin Texas
Nacogdoches Texas
Corckett Texas (contains the only National Pine Forest in Texas) - 400 square miles of pine forest, where camping, fishing, hunting are banned under federal statutes. There are abandoned cabins, old cars, TRAIN CARS, even an asylum!
(both are roughly 1 hour or slightly more from the Lousiana border). Highway 59 cuts through both, on the way to Houston from Lousiana. Tyler is near there as well, don't even get me started on that madhouse. They have houses ABOVE ground made from nuke silos, turned into coffee shops, etc. That whole area is fucking INSANE.
There are COUNTY sized backroads out there with mansions built before WW2 that are full of all kinda crazy shit. I lived in Nac for almost four years, and I explored quite a bit of those backwoods places.
Dear god the enormity of what lies at your feet is staggering...It's like a hidden fuckin world, yo.

Nice! I don't think I've ever tested to see if the electronics work in places. I've always just assumed they don't. I think it might be a rule that a TV has to be left behind in a house. I've seen them in there more often than not.
