Maria was always stronger than the rest her co-workers so much so they challenged her to arm wrestling matches, which the folks at her workplace were foolish enough to bet money on. The people at her workplace also made bets on foster fight matches which Maria did as well and which she also won. She decided that she would become a boxer since its all they watched and she was strong enough to do it.
