Description
o_oI don't know what to do with the background. Leave it white? Never. But I don't want to make it black. I was considering adding in digital details (from stock photos) but I think that'd throw off the style. Or, I could add in textures.. but I don't just want colors in the background, I want it to look like this is only a small portion of whatever's past the borders of the picture.
If that makes sense. Gah.
Spent WAY too much time on this >_<;
and if I can't get a good background, I'll just clean up the black and white version for the contest dealy.
I'm also coloring this traditionally, with pastels.

I can't remember if you actually asked for any suggestions, and I'm not going to bother scrolling up to see, so if you don't want any, just skip this next paragraph.
I've seen you use bubbles to color and shade, so why not that? How about a sort of bubble gradient, where the bubbles are closer together towards the bottom of the picture, and the slowly become less dense as they move up. Then, you could add drop-shadows from all of those objects sort of floating around there.
I dunno. Hope you come up with something. It's pretty interesting so far. Good luck.
