Halloween 2020 I had the great luck to win a coloring contest that the modelhorse sculptor Maggie Bennett was holding. I couldnt believe it - me winning something?
Anyway - since the world is what it is it was a bit of waiting - and then customs made me wait a little longer still (guess they were jealous huh?) - but today I finally got the prize.
This is the small version of the horse I colored (in 2d), now painted by Maggie herself! Normally one would think a micro mini modelhorse is small enough but look at this one...thats a normal pen for size reference.
I must admit it would be fun to get the chance to paint something like this...the scary part is how do you display them? Maggie had put this little guy in a jar. One can remove the glasstop as the little model itself is glued to the cork, but Im not even going to remove the tape that was put there for the sake of shipping. Im not risking anything!
