Sooooo this grass is kind of amazing Best grass I think I've done ! And I don't know why it is so difficult for me to do trees Oh well, practice makes perfect !

The following story has happened to me before and I grabbed the wrong bridle Whoops ! Definitely need to pay close attention when you are around horses

Melody decided to take good ol' Lady out for a spin because she hadn't been ridden for quite a while. The staff had been so busy with taking care of Bee and training the youngsters that some of the young adult horses weren't being trained! They decided to change this for the week and just work on the young horses.

She threw a saddle and mindlessly grabbed the first dressage bridle she saw on Lady and headed out to the pasture. There were a lot of people training in both the indoor and outdoor arenas so the pasture would be a nice change of scenery. The dark clouds were rolling in from the northeast so this had to be a quick session.

She put her foot in the stirrup and on three, flung herself over. Lady began walking as soon as she was situated in the saddle and when Melody picked up the reins, Lady's head immediately dropped! Melody was surprised at that reaction because she hasn't been ridden recently...

After warming up a bit, Melody asked her to canter and she began to canter without lifting her head. Melody tried to pick her head up but Lady was definitely not in the mood to be a giraffe. Thoughts raced in her head as to why this mare was sticking her head to her chest... maybe she needed her teeth done?

And then the light bulb over her head went off. This was Cappy's bridle! Cappy was so strong so he needed a strong bit and she instinctively grabbed his bridle! Poor Lady had a sensitive mouth! Melody immediately got off to go grab a different bridle and kept apologizing to the confused mare as she led her back to the barn.

Paying attention at a barn is definitely imperative if you want happy, normal behaving horses!
