Personality

Duke can be quite a nosy horse! He is always trying to find a way to only slightly ruin your day. He has been known to knock over buckets full of stuff, destroy fences, and constantly break his automatic water. The staff always buys him stuff to play with in his stall so he doesn't find other things to be his make shift toy. When out in the pasture, Captain keeps him pretty under control if he sees Duke getting into mischief. The two are inseparable!

Duke is a big boy who loves to eat! The staff gives him 2 pads of hay and 2 scoops of grain. He also has a bunch of treat-toys in his stall to keep him occupied. If he gets bored, he will start chewing on wood or anything else remotely chewable. He can't go out with another horse other than Captain or else he will chew on their tail. When offered a treat, he gets so excited and his mouth is so big so it feels like he will swallow your hand whole! He would physically never hurt a fly but he definitely mentally messes with you!

Handling him can be tricky because he has his good days and bad days. On his bad days, he won't stand still and constantly needs to be moving. The staff usually lets him out to run around because lunging him without being dragged around the ring has yet to be done. The older he gets the better he seems to be so the staff hopes he matures as well as Captain has.

He can be a bit fussy when you try to make him stand still when all he wants to do is run around! He is also an avid wood chewer so the staff is trying to give him other options in his stall but time after time he returns to this nasty habit.
