For me this was kinda a strange thing to ponder. While I like creepy aspects, I've never watched a horror film (in part because my parents never liked them). Concepts of monsters don't really appeal to my sense of fear. I got into discussion with my boyfriend about it and be mutually agreed of the things the scared us the most:-a loss of control
-a loss of identity
-feeling unable to do something when everyone else around you can
-being unable to move while something bad is happening to you
From this, I took to puppetry as that is controlling a shell, forcing it to move and act in certain ways. The output is a performance that is a façade of the being struggling underneath.
