Description that's not really a title, this is more of a study.

a combination of a sense of disorientation from a phase of rapid change i'm going through, and feeling i've fallen into a rut where my style isn't evolving laterally enough, i tried some new things.

honestly need to start using apps other than GIMP and MSPaint, but i don't have a lot of time to learn new tools right now as far as 2D still art goes. busy busy busy.

keeping myself involved just enough to make a few pieces a month at the moment.

this study features Sheev Palatine from Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith (episode 3) where he lookin' all chonk in a holo message for a sec as it flickers in or out, and a slice from a Ghost in the Shell promo image.

honestly, i want to use it again later for a more comical result. i pulled it from a meme. "my favorite scene in..." or some such.

i took this chance to try some free hand mouse signage. i have been an amateur graffiti artist in my youth, though i never got TOO good, save for a few really nice design-y drawing masterpieces. its something i should mess with more, it gives me a chance to continue without breaking the law. aw, yes, youth.

a final note about what's going on here: i didn't realize that i'd made the grid on the right side a transparency, so it will show up as the background its displayed over. this means if i change the background, the piece changes. if you were to download it, it would look different depending on what you did to look at it, or where you reposted it online. i'm thinking i should try to create some designs built around exploiting this trick. different versions of one image in a single file, hmmm....

if anyone actually reads this, please give me a little comment, anything that's really working for you about it, anything that could be a little better. i'm trying to branch out and explore right now.
