Description
The sword that goes with an original weapon design, those curvy bits tie in with this. Pics & more description coming soon. Those are ruby's in the centre of the circles.comment please, Did I get metalic shading close to realistic?

You could add some facets in the jewel of the Ruby to give it more of a gemlike quality. The metal is not bad-- it looks like gunmetal grey-- but, as a few have already mentioned, could be a bit more dynamic in contrast of shadows and highlights. Depending on how used this blade is, it could also have some 1pt opacity 20 or less scarring added in. People have gone over the top with this effect sometimes, but it doesn't hurt to play.

I think maybe the light and shade on the blade could be more hard-edged, as metal tends to have quite definite shadow and reflections. But you can easily tell it's a metallic blade as is, and a very interesting design!

It's pretty good but you need to get more texture on the metallic parts and the ruby doesn't look like a ruby. Give it more red. I love the handle though.

Yeah I love the handle, I wasn't even sure what I wanted it to look like, I'd been thinking of a white cloth binding. but it wasn't working so I just picked a maroon. played with the dodge & burn tools & it ended up fitting in nicely & looking like treated leather
