Description Nothing flash really, I just put my digital camera on the eyepiece of my telescope and with much wobbling this came out. levels have been adjusted so the surface variations are more easily visible

Hey Jeremy,
What a lovely image. Nice idea there. There's a full moon at the moment so I'll be faving this... it seems pretty appropriate.

Some advice:
Turn up the F/ratio of your camera, it'll reduce the chromatic abberation(color fringing).
Then use a quicker shutter speed so it will reveal more details as the light won't wash it out.

Lastly, you could desaturate the pic with a post processing program to remove the color fringing
Good luck

Sounds like good advice but I'm only having some fun with a digital camera set to automatic, so I don't think it has those settings on it. Thanx any way

It should have it..
I had a similar camera, the Canon S30. Just turn the mode dial to M and you can change the F number and the shutter speed by pressing the arrow buttons

Yeah its not something you would expect to work, this was taken at about 2.30 am. Uh I have no idea what kind of telescope it is. It's about 1m long & about a 20mm diameter.

If it looks kind of like some sort of rocketshooter, as my friends say, it might just have been a Bushnell North Star, I have one of them in my dining room. Lol. Yea, I guess because of the mirrors and small lens, I would have doubted it to work as well. Thanks for proving us wrong.
