UPDATE : Forget it ... SORRY, the link I gave didn't work.Either you like Microsoft or not, but many of their OSes were legendary...
2001 ... And the incredible ... WINDOWS 98 ... which lasted for 8 good years...
Not to forget Windows 2000, whose support only ended in 2010 ... Making it having last for 10 years...
... And ... then there's Windows XP ...
Windows XP is officially the most successful Microsoft OS ever made, and occupied our hard drives for 13 god damn years. That's literally a RECORD to be beaten.
Never has a program lasted for SO DAMN LONG, and that is just well deserved.
But Windows XP ... I spent too many years on it ... So many good memories on it ... That's (along with 98) the first OS I ever got my hand on ... Its stability, its reliability...
Rest in Peace, Windows XP, you did good.
But ... Sadly ... Anyway, time to move on and forget about the past. Gotta make room for... THE FUTURE.

I miss mine. We got it back in 2001, and it was used it up till 2010. Then I got my Windows 7 for Christmas in 2010, and I only touched the old Windows XP ONCE in 2011 while it was still working. It no longer works, sadly...

XP was great. I'm more of a 95/98/ME girl, but XP was the OS I got after my ME computer died. All of those OSs are still better than Windows 10, lol.

Lucky you! I can't get a VM to run... but hey! At least I can play NES/Saturn/GBA games on my computer! Windows 10 I can't hate cause Windows 8 was soooo laggy and buggy for me near the end of it's life. Windows 10 has been confusing but a huge step up!

Windows XP was very successful, I do have to say. It's been around for a very long time, so saying goodbye is hard. I am a big Vista nut myself, but I recently upgraded to Windows 7 because Vista's support lifetime is almost used up. I plan on upgrading to Windows 10 when it comes out too.

From what I heard, Windows 8.1 is the closest OS in regards to compatibility to Windows XP programs. The problem is is that I found an article that states that Microsoft is cutting off that OS as well.

I Liked the feature for loading videos and pics. You plug and it knows which new '3 or so' pics you have. Stupid windows 7 takes forever and you have ie to open files or other ways. It keeps doing the entire amount not just the new ones or makes you pic a category "lump all as bunny pics' even if they are not.
