Description
This is for Mike, for all my friends who feel that there is something wrong with the way our government is treating our country, for all the public school kids that I know that were fucked over by "No Child Left Behind", for all of my Mexican relatives, for all of those people in love who can't get married just because they're different, and for all of the soldiers that gave their patriot lives.I want to make sure that this is understood. I drew the horns as Cuckold horns. A cuckold defined as someone who's wife has cheated on them or someone who is a fool.
I suppose that the "cheating" part could be defined in my mind as our government cheating our country out of a lot of things. But, I am going with the definition as "fool". Thus, the title.
Im upset right now.
If you get offended over this, that's fine. Dont mark it off as a character flaw on my part. Im open for discussion.
used: pencil, chalk pastel, and a picture from US News article "New Questions about pre-9/11 Warnings Put Bush In A Bind"

I love your style, and your talent. You are a great artist ...
Your drawing is great. It doesn't look exactly like Bush, but enough to be recognisable. Don't change a thing about it. It's who you were on that night...
Artists have been drawing caricatures of our leaders for centuries, so take your parents' critique with a grain of salt. The horns MUST stay ...
Do one of John Howard, (Australian prime minister), but you need to have him with his penis up Bush's ass ... Here in Oz people call Howard a shrub ... (which is just a small bush) ....

I love your use of colour, and your style. It's very professional ...
The suggestion was more of a joke than anything else, but it's how a lot of Australians feel anout our prime minister. There's as much political unrest over the war in Iraque as there is in the U.S.

Oh, I know. But at least you guys are lucky enough to not be the instegators of such a thing. Im not just upset over Iraq either. Its a lot of the legislation that he has been trying to pass and has passed previously. I could go on a rant here, but I think the description I put is alright as far as it goes. Mostly, I just believe that he was never cut out to be president in the first place. I feel as though electing officials has become like bringing someone into a fraternity. Bush was a "legacy" kid, allowed a shot because of his father and because of party loyalty. It pisses me off that he is still in office, and that he was voted for another term to begin with.

I understand what you mean, but will the next president be better? that is the question ...

that is a very good question. I dont know where we're going to go from here, but whoever it is, that person is going to have a lot of cleaning up to do and a huge deficit to fix.

I just hope they do clean up, and not just add to the mess.

Yeah. I dont know if the mess is one that can really be cleaned. I mean, there have been decades of mess, one presidency after another making it worse, sometimes making it better, but then just having it ruined again.
In the words of Mr. Incredible "Sometimes I wish the world would just stay saved. I feel like the maid, I just cleaned up this mess, cant we keep it that way for ten minutes?"

Thanks so much! I felt kinda weird about the "it doesnt look anything like him" comment... I think I might revise it.

Very nice piece. Excellent detail (especially if you actually did this during an anxious night like your journal says). As for looking like bush, I would say its a great-match. The only ways I can see differences is that your drawing has the eyes too "set-into" his head and they are not quite round enough (likely due to the frustration he was experiencing in the picture you sketched from) and his cheeks do not have the same "fatty"-dimples that he does in reality (He has them, I swear!). Those are just minor differences that Kajm might have referred to-- and I had to actively search for them (In other words, they don't stand out). I feel its a great sketch of the devil himself.

I didnt mean to represent him as a devil really. Hes a cuckold as I say in the description. Though I do thank you whole heartedly for your constructive criticism and your praise. We need to hang out and play some munchkin, Greg.

So you heard of me godly munchkin-ness... If you really want to hang out, get my cell/aim from mike sometime and bug me on a day that I dont work.

I dont know when you work. I was thinking we should do some laser tag or something after mike gets off work at best buy. I'll get your IM and we can figure something out. I start work on the 12th so I'll be pretty booked until 5 every week day, and I have to entertain my 13 year old cousin while hes in town too. So... we'll figure something out. If it gets down to it, we could have a little munchkin party and I could invite my other older cousin Lance over. Hes a munchkin weirdo as well.

Sounds good. I have summer-school until 2 everyday anyway, so the working 'til 5 doesn't quite get in the way.

No. That is not a way to solve anything. Really that is a way to make things worse. Violence is not a solution. Look at the wars that this country has gone through, has violence fixed those situations? In the middle east, have they solved any of their differences in beliefs by killing eachother? No. Has American involvement in that war solved anything either? No. Death spreads out and touches everyone. Even when just one person dies, it touches thousands of lives. Use your words. The quest for civil rights by Martin Luther King succeeded because of peaceful and nonviolent protest. The same applies to Gandhi.
If you want to change the world, protest what is going on. Write about it. Learn as much as you can. Combat the ignorance that seems to rule our nation, be educated on the matters so that when you get the chance, you can say what needs to be said and change the way people view things.

What a great image for 06-06-06
I could get into a long discussion about what is wrong with this nation but I fear my fingers would bleed before I am finished.
Nice image!
