I loveeee this. Did you use microns? I love the thickness. People in the tattoo shop would kill of clean line work like this.Β

wow, thank you! I do use microns, and sometimes extraΒ fine pointΒ sharpies and such things, I use those to make the lines thick, then I use a combo of medium and fine point pentel RSVP pens to smooth out the lines (they're ballpoint pens, pretty basic)

Hello, from
Okay, how's this for a `like` comment?
I'm torn as to what colors I'd need for this as compared to the background for the Banner itself...
But I Want This AS my BANNER for my characters in "Diablo 3"!!!!!!Β This is damned good!!!

I love the bold, clean lines as well as the geometry you create with your stylized wolves! This piece is definitely something I could see as a tattoo because of the varying thickness of your line work. Excellent choice!

Hey, over from ProjectComment Β
I love this. The expressions are beautiful, and the composition is fabulous Wolves are my favorite, especially snarly ones! xD The lines are very steady, and the triangular shape of the piece is simple, yet beautiful. The arrows are also incredibly straight and even when compared to each other. The wolves themselves share a lot of emotion, and you can tell something is going on here. A couple things I will say, however, just about very small mistakes.
One, You probably noticed, but the arrow head pointing towards the right corner of the paper is off-center from the shaft of the arrow. Just little details like that tend to be what people see if you were to ever start trying to sell art (which you may already be doing, I don't know )
The other thing is I think the wolf behind the snarly wolf is, well, a little TOO far behind. I get that it would've been hard to show the wolf anymore than it is without disrupting the over all composition, but it's something o keep in mind. \
Anyways, hope some of this help, I really like this picture overall

Thank you for your encouragement and critique! I see what you mean about the wolf in the back, thanks for noting that ^^

Hello! I am from a community called ProjectComment! This community is geared towards helping artist improve! I really really like this picture. Nice start for inktober. I'm absolutely in love with the line art, you definitely know what you're doing when it comes to inking. I really like the thick bold lines. However, i feel like you could have added shading to make some things stand out. Yes, I know it's an inktober picture, it's made with ink, but I really feel like you could take it a step farther by adding shading behind the wolves or dogs to make them look a bit 3D. But it's just my preference. I also feel like you could add more texture to the fur but i feel like that is just my preference! I hope this helped you at the very least, if it didn't help then i hope it at least gave you some ideas! I hope you have a great day and inktober!!

I totally see what you mean. I have some Higgins India ink and maybe that would do the trick while still keeping the ink-only theme. I will remember your suggestions and hopefully a little more texture will help, it's a good idea, I sometimes over-simplify.

You did those lines on paper??! Holy crap. Those huge ones are especially amazing! Your art would be perfect for T-Shirts and animal logos.
anyway, I know a lot of artists go for thin lines, but I think your art looks super epic with thick ones. It's also more unique.
