Description
I was wanting to do a deer tutorial when I realized I actually don't know as much as I'd like! I didn't name out each part mainly b/c im (1) too lazy and (2) positive I messed some things up :'D I didn't realize the metatarsals were comprised of two different metatarsals instead of just the one so that affected some things. I was also unsure of how big to make the vastus lateralis/rectus femoris so I just based it on the reference images used. I also had to completely redo the muscular structure on the first leg because I realized I did everything wrong, not to mention I didnt even include the gluteobiceps asdfghjklI also included how I breakdown the hind leg when I sketch it for anyone wondering how I do it! I like to simplify the final lines in my pieces to make a piece look cleaner and less bumpy and ugly so that's included as well ♥

Most people rarely do solid and sensible studies nowadays, much respect for that! Keep up the good work ^^

I always think Deer are hard to draw. >v<
I'm used to horse anatomy and still struggle with their hind legs sometimes. X. X

Breaking down the hind legs into simple gesture lines and/or simple shapes really helps! The more you can bring the shape and form into an understandable layout, the easier it'll get ♥
