In this photo full of mystery by visual artist photographer Gaspard de Gouges, staged from elements produced by the artist, we can see in the middle of the image, a dark shape against the light, like a square. This form was designed to refer to abstraction, to Malevich, and the horizontals and verticals recall the work of Mondrian. In front of this cubic shape, an island emerges from the water. In the foreground and taking up almost half of the image, the blurred sea takes on green tints, the dominant color of the whole. At the bottom, illuminated by a mysterious light, emerges a wall, a quay, leaning against a rock of yellow ocher color. The powerful, artificial light comes from the left and gives off a strange halo which contrasts with the starry vault.
