If they ever got hurt, even if they weren't under her watch, she blames herself for not doing enough for him.

Funny story: the first time I met Nightkit, I thought he was terrifying! He came off as so cool and scary...then I met him and he's just a goofball. I think he finds me interesting, which is awesome, 'cause everyone else except Mama and Hiccupkit usually seem confused or annoyed.

Hic is incredible. We bumped into each other in the middle of the night, because I woke him up when I was trying to sneak outside the nursery (it gets really crowded in there sometimes). He and Nightkit were already friends before I met them, but then they both insisted I'm their best friend now, too! It makes me so happy to know they care so much about me. I especially admire Hic, 'cause he gets ill a lot, but he's working hard to still be a warrior and I admire him for that and short jokes aside, I look up to him for it, too.

– Clawed the Twoleg kit when he pulled her tail, which caused her to think this is why they gave her up
– She was put in a box with a couple other kits on a sidewalk in Twolegplace (it's unknown if she's related to any of them)

Arrival in SkyClan, 2+ Moons || July 4th
– Was left inside the box for ???
– Found by a patrol of SkyClan warriors, who decided to take in her and the other kits
– One of the warriors was called Frogsplash, who young Sapphire took an immediate attachment to
– Brought at once to the SkyClan nursery, where the kits were allowed to stay
– Frogsplash, having grown attached to Sapphire as well, adopted her as her daughter
– Now a SkyClan kit, Sapphire was renamed Berrykit by Frogsplash, for her blue-gray pelt; doesn't remember much from life as a kittypet
