Name: Sigrun [cig-rluh] Styrke [steer-kuh] // she goes by / Rune [rrloo-nah] to maintain her "male" facade.

Extra items: basic tools such as a screwdriver, wrench, hammer, nails and lugnuts. She carries a special pocketwatch she made as well as broken bits and pieces of clock gears, cogs and wratchets, and objects she has found in her travels. It looks like junk to most people- some shrapnel. Then the standard helmet, bag with rations and some simple supplies, compass, binoculars, and a gas mask. Oh yeah... and a gun. It is not functioning- its one her grandfather fashioned personally and can still be used to pistol whip.

Personality: Inquisitive but very stoney. Rune has very little personality, but she isn't mean per say. She just doesn't have much to open up about, really. She's very curious about physical mechanics of things and will freely dissect anything she can get her hands on. Not exactly super loyal to the cause or the nation, but she is committed to her job through her work morale.

Backstory: She was born in Goldenrod City as her father still worked on border security in the naval area, so a more "scout" position really. There was a station set way out off the coast, on a little island, which he would sail to every morning to check for ships not cleared for landing and communicate to shore with telegraph. It wasn't a great paying job, but she was old enough to start going to a public school when- her father and mother were attacked by a wild Granbull.

Her father having died, and mother suffered from emotional and physical wounds of losing her husband, Sigrun was pulled out of school suddenly and taken away with her mother off back to her mother's home in Kanto. She spent most of her time from here growing up with her grandfather in the harbor city of Vermillion- where she learned her love of tinkering. He was a gunsmith back in the old days of the war, but since he had to reinvent his use into developing pulleys, and manufacturing clocks. She grew fond of him like a father figure and learned a lot about mechanical engineering from him where she could. However, clocks are not exactly a big economy, so they continued to live in near-poverty until she was old enough to try to take up some jobs.

Because she is technically a civilian from Johto, she was never really treated warmly, and she never gave much effort in changing the minds of those who deemed her "one of them" either. She very easily resigns in personal discrimination, because Sigrun found [and still finds] little good could come from the effort.

As such, jobs never stuck well with her. She eventually got into trying to make a new alias of herself, "Rune" instead of Sigrun. She buzzcut her hair in the back and began to wear baggier clothes- to try to come off as a male. If people's first impressions were different from the start, maybe she'd have better foot forward.

She has joined the Navy recently as a campaign for a solid job.

Pokemon bio / personality: Manta was an experimental "breeding" subject since Mantine only breed it with a special man-made incense. Breeders are considered wackos in this day in age, but they still have the hope to sell their findings on pokemon reproduction- and the pokemon ship off to the military, who want any pokemon that can fight already sealed up in a pokeball.
Being bred AND a baby pokemon, Manta isn't in the mentality to FIGHT OR FLIGHT against humans, but it has natural instinct and has probably had similar training as all the others before being assigned. She is a little mischievous at times, enjoying freezing things with her Ice Beam and following Rune around like a lost puppy.
Rune does not see her as anything but a weapon, and thus offers no comfort to the pokemon as much as it seems to yern for the attention. She still obeys Rune faithfully.

Leire [pronounced the same as LYRA] | Claydol | Hasty | Levitate | Genderless
Pokemon bio / personality: It was captured out in the deserts of Hoenn and obtained by Kanto officials in a smuggling ring bust. After the Battle of Undella, Rune was no longer given the option to refuse an additional pokemon, and with some luck she received Leire- another pokemon more to her suite for having more defensive capabilities then offensive. Leire is torn between two states of being: Docile and Impatient. It floats about lazily, allowing any of it's 4 body segments to go about freely, though it cannot maintain the psychic control greater then 9 yards away. The head piece is the conscious part which controls the other 3 segments. It cannot regenerate itself, however, it can add solid inanimate objects to become new "segments" if some are destroyed, but that takes a lot of energy and time before those pieces become a "part" of its body. Damage can be afflicted on any segment until that piece is destroyed, but the only way to kill is to attack the head piece.
It goes into it's "Impatient" demeanor when it feels under pressure, usually involving other people or pokemon. Leire is nervous around large groups or when on the spot, and will spam attacks until she feels calmed down again. She also rushes through things and is more likely to make easy mistakes like this.
Her eyes are ALL always closed when calm, and ALL always open when feeling rushed.
