Description
That's right, I'm an amateur. I'm not paid to draw my art, and even when I do have the occasional commission, I still am not a professional.I am an amateur, I am not lacking in skill. My art is done because it makes me feel good, not for anyone else (in most cases), but if it does make others feel better, it is a bonus. If you see what I draw
I am an amateur, at the moment, I draw as a hobby since I have a profession that does not relate to what I studied in college. Even if I do have that bit on the wall from the university stating that I am proficient in art, I am an amateur.
There is nothing wrong with being an amateur, most artists are, hence the coined phrase "starving artist". We sometimes have jobs to suppliment our stress releiver. I am proud to be an amateur.
------
Cats usually have their backs turned to us as they wash themselves, sometimes we get the front facing us.
Balancing on a camel saddle that acts as a footrest, Brite Spot washes herself before laying down to sleep upon it.
Sketching a bathing cat is interesting since they always keep moving...and Spot was no different in this case. She moved around a lot, so I found the right body pose that i liked, then had to add the head.
The picture is in black and white, just linework, because I could not find a background that I was satisfied with and any time that I tried to put any color on, I wasn't satisfied...that and Brite Spot is a white cat.

This is lovely.
It makes me think of recent goings on... and made me ponder;
why is it I draw porn (hardcore spooge porn) for 3 years... and people like me.
The moment I stop (I havent drawn porn for like, 4 months since I dont upload porn anymore) people are calling me a sex obsessed freak?
maybe I should get back to porn.
As for the image, it is lovely. I wish I could draw Temmie this well.

Thank you for the comment on my picture of spot, I'm sure that you could draw Temmie pretty cutely ^_^
That is pretty weird and unfair how you are called that, maybe you should to see or experiment on their reactions then. However either way I think that your art is quite fine and quite sexy in its own way. Maybe they were so used to seeing your art like that, this is their way of protesting, however that is only a theory.
Whatever you do, just don't stop being you and doing what you do best.

Nice linework. You captured the subject quite well. I think it might need a little more contrast, though.
I am for the moment still an amateur, in practice until I become a professional. It's difficult figuring out which niche I would like to evolve into. I like the history of art, trying to understand how design canons developed, how beliefs within cultures and societies impacted the art they produced. Yet I also like cartooning and illustration. There is also a pull toward conceptual art, prop design, and suchlike. Oh well -- in time I will know and decide.

Thank you, I may try to do that with the next piece, but thank you for the suggestion.
I hope to one day get the comic book that I and a friend are working on published, and perhaps that'll bring the level up to being a true professional.
I wish you the best of luck as well in what you decide. Art history was a fun subject, just make sure you find a teacher that doesn't have a droning voice in a dark classroom with comfortable chairs....bad mixture.
