The Great Forest was quiet as night fell.

It was nice to have a bit of peace once in a while, considering that the threat from Robotropolis seemed to be closer day by day. Knothole was the only safety during these dark times, and even it was not that safe considering that Robotnik was rather close to knowing where it was.

Gazing up at the stars through a patch in the foliage and laying upon the hill was the only one, or at least it seemed that way, that was the hope for this world. A gloved hand moved behind his quilled head and his other hand to his belly.

A soft sigh passed from Sonic's lips as he gazed at the stars. This was one of the few times where he wasn't in a hurry, just contemplative.

His eyes soon closed, he was barely able to stay awake. It didn't matter, there was not much that needed his attention tonight, for tomarrow was when the mission started and everyone was counting on him to be at his peak.
