Description
This is one of the 3 pictures I drew for CherryVioletS ‘ GF artbook. I had this as a sketch since before the finale. I just needed a happy ending for them to make this idea work. Otherwise it would’ve been a big picture with stangst and nothing but stangst. But now it’s only like 90% stangst
I'll upload the other pictures after the artbook comes out

:33< i feel like the music describes the life of all of them: at the start the stans, at the end dipper and mabel, after the sad part where it gets slightly lighter and more playful, and the repeating melody at the end, reinforcing how strong their bond is together

I love the symmetry with how the picture reflect and correspond to each other across the happy center! It really shows all theyve gone trhough to get thier happy ending and it s beautiful

Nah, I still love Dipper and Mabel, but it's just that...well...it's just that their Grunkles have something in their story that Dipper and Mabel are lacking...idk what it is but it definitely works to an advantage

I totally understand, because I love them much more than M&D too! They have this whole life of various events they lived through, which makes them more interesting. What do 12 year olds have to offer? I mean, they ARE great characters, and awesome kids, just.. not relatable to older fans?

Yeah, also Dipper and Mabel may have fights, but they aren't realistic. But the two Stans' arguments are MUCH more relatable. Their fights were realistic

No, actually the kids' fight WERE realistic, but they were the fights of siblings that have a healthy friendly relationship. I mean, Alex based them off of himself and his sister. Stans, on the other hand, had a shitty upbringing and didn't talk it out after fighting, like the kids did. (Well, they did in the end, and that's why they're friends and happy now

Yeah. Honestly in the conflict that the Stans had I didn't really choose either side. Like, with the whole "Stab ruined his brother's future by mistake" incident, sure it was wrong of Stan to hit his brother's project, but his brother was honestly no better.

Yeah, I like how they were both wrong and both contributed to the ruin of their lives. Makes them very human and realistic. And the moment they admitted their mistakes, they made up and lived happily. It's wasn't just Stan sitting there being sad and Ford talking about how wrong he was. No, they both were. One trusted a demon, the other was too stubborn and hot headed.
