Seems Cindy is in a predicament! Her bike ride in the desert has been derailed by a group of scavengers. They intercepted her fat tire bicycle on their motor dirt bikes and chased her down. She tried to put up a fight while they went thru her backpack and stole her cellphone, wallet, and watch. They left her large fixed blade knife strapped to her left leg. The five of them had no trouble pinning her down and stripping her clothes before driving some metal stakes in the ground and stretching her spread eagle with her own ropes. She could not stop them from pulling the tightly knotted ropes out and securing them to the stakes. The leader laughed and mocked her while he added another rope to her neck and tied it off to a fifth stake above her head. Her cursing and jerking aggressively only made them laugh more.

Cindy struggled for most of an hour after they left her alone. She got worried when a random crow landed and started poking around her. Her sharp knife lay out of reach, left there by her tormentors after they used it to cut her clothes off. The sun rose in the sky and the heat also rose by degrees. It was early morning and she knew the sun would soon become unbearable without shade or clothing. Her exposed sensitive parts were already feeling the drying effect of the desert air and the rising sun to the southeast.

How long would someone miss her. She cursed herself for not telling anyone her plans. Not a soul would know she was out here alone. Her wrists were turning red from the abrasive ropes tightly knotted. Her hands were a bit blue from lowered circulation and they tingled a bit. She flexed her hands trying to extend her time before they were numb. The predicament began to prove inescapable. The neck rope ensured she was stretched tight and could not get any leverage on any of the other ropes.

Two hours later, Cindy stopped scream and cursing. She had cried for a bit until she ran out of tears. Now she watch the crow move closer and closer.
