Art I made for my wife's birthday. Shes a big cat fan. A fan of cats, big or small.
I penciled out the tiger, woman, lioncub, and snow leopard, and inked them. Then sat on the picture for two weeks while i waited for my full set of Copics to show up in the mail. As soon as i started coloring, i realized it needed more, so i added in the cherry blossom branches, the Torii gate up top, and the mountainscape in the back. Working from right to left, i can see myself figuring out how to do the mountains in the back. As in, i dont care for the right side, but love how the left turned out. Also i wish i'd thought of doing more trees in full shadow like the small ones on the left. Sigh.
Ink, Sharpie, a crap load of Copic, then some pencil to get some fine detail in for the woman and the flowers on her kimono. I need to go back and mess with the tiger's snout, its way too flat (though it makes it look like one of our housecats).
