Description This is a baby rabbit that we rescued from the mower-we bottle fed it until it was big enough to let go. He now resides in the woods at the end of our street-he was sooooo cute!!

My dad saved two from the mower, they were a bit bigger though. Then a few months later we found a burrow full of baby opossums. My dad's been raging war against woodchucks and had traps set out (he's a farmer) and ended up getting the mom. We couldn't just leave them for the wild cats, so we took them to a lady not far from us. She takes care of orphined wildlife. She took care of them until they were able to be released and even sent us a picture of them when they were still fairly small. They were so adorable, we didn't want to let them go, but we couldn't take care of them so it was a must.

I know how you feel, I love animals, and if they're orphaned and helpless-what can you do but help them. I think that's why God put us here in this Earth, to tend his animals (even the human ones!) Thanks for the Fav!

He was the sweetest little thing. He hasn't visited yet, but you know how kids are-so wrapped up in their own lives that they don't have time to visit the old folks. I kind of hope he doesn't visit though, because our 2 cats and our dog might see him as an appetizer-then I'd cry!

I hope so too. He was eating tons of greens by the time we let him go, so I figured he wouldn't starve. We turned him loose at the end of our street where some neighbors live in 7 acres of woods.
