'I can't draw, I can't paint... only thing about me is the way...' ... I pity myself... whatever...Picture looked better when it was still a sketch, coloring messed it up... also trying to improve the anatomy actually made it much much worse. *sighs* But I'm still content enough with it to post it anyway.
Character belongs to a german Elfquest RPG-holt (SternjΓ€ger ). His name is Jeyn... yeah... it's a boy... ... What? Jayne Cobb from Firefly was male too!
Inspiration came from this picture from .
Drawing done by me... obviously... drawn with coloured pencils. Didn't scan it, but used my camera, because the scanner's colors where even stranger than this version.

I really don't know why you keep complaining about your own art

Hmm... may be I have a comparative explanation why I complain about my own art and why I always have the feeling that it looks horrible. May be it sounds silly though... but... have you ever repeated a word (like 'anatomical' or 'horrible' or 'complaining' or whatever) over and over again, may be pronouncing it a little different each time or analyzing how it sounds? After a while... it just looks and sounds wrong. With every repetition the word looks stranger and stranger until you think it's not a real word or it's written wrong or something else. At least that's what happens to me when I do that...
... same goes for art. The longer I look and work on a picture the weirder it looks. It gets more horrible with every minute. After a while even the correct or nice parts look wrong. So... actually... when I'm in the sketching-phase of a picture, I'm still happy, but by the time I finish it, I'm devastated. ^^,
... don't know if this explanation makes any sense to anyone but me.
... but at least some part of me usually likes a picture still well enough to post it anyway.

Actually the clothes are mostly still from the original description. o.O; I just gave him a different shirt (and made the white more greyish) and added the feather because I felt like it.
The pants (overall?) were in the original and I still ponder if I give him something else or keep them as his summer clothes.
