This picture is really appetizing even though you didn't use a lot of bright and lively colors. The background is a neutral gray color - you didn't want the focus to be on anything else except this stack of pancakes.
In your technique of making this picture, you didn't use too much detail. But you used enough so that the colors of the pancakes, syrup, and blueberries would naturally register with the viewer as something sweet and delightful. When coloring the blueberries, you were very good about the blending of lighter colors on the top. And very good with the small amounts of white coloring to signify light from above.
Your color scheme for the pancakes is very right on. There is depth to this picture because when one looks into the syrup puddle, there is found a faint reflection of what's above.
For sure, one of your strengths as an artist is to correctly pick out a color scheme that can and will induce appetite. You're very good at painting pictures of desserts. You very well could solicit your artistic abilities to a small bakery to see of if they could pay you something for a commission.
