I remember these from back in school. I would get out at 14:00 from my classes, and walk to the tram station to catch a tram home. There was this bakery right across the street, which would sell this sort of pie. It is not sweet, so it made hunger more bearable until I got home. They were always warm and fresh and I loved them. I know this isn't a very festive food, but I hope you would like them. Holding this hot piece of pastry in your hand in the cold winter weather, smelling the fresh air and the aroma of the dough is something to remember.Related content

That's a wonderful story. The good food we eat from the past are always remembered fondly. I'm not spinach lover myself, though as a kid I ate a lot of them because my parents told me I'd get muscles like Popeye if I do.Β
