Description Experiment #9 is one of the most dangerous experiments to date. Made specifically to kill, and unable to be controlled, this experiment is most akin to "Flesh-eating mist"

Experiment #9 was made by terrorists. These terrorists were of no known religion, but harbored the same desires that most dangerous groups do: Expanding, controlling, and generating fear. Experiment #9 was developed to be a species of invisible, floating, flesh-eating bacteria. Even though types of flesh-eating bacteria were already present in nature, those responsible for experiment #9 used an original version with a much faster metabolism.

When Experiment #9 was past its prototype stage, it was a colorless, odorless conglomerate of bacteria that could turn a human into a skeleton in seconds. If this advanced microorganism had been released upon the world, it might have spelt doom for the human race. Fortunately, the terrorists did not desire to end all life, and engineered weaknesses into the bacteria; including a short lifespan (ensuring the death of all active bacteria as soon as a host was devoured) and an inability to deal with certain chemical compounds (allowing vaccines and repellants to be made). With a bio weapon such as this at their disposal, and being the only ones with the knowledge to stop it, the terrorist group seemed to have the power it needed to bribe, threaten, and force its way to the top.

However, one man changed Experiment #9 forever, and in doing so brought both good and bad fortune to the people of the world. A member of the terrorist group, the man who changed experiment #9 was insane even by their standards. He had no desire to control or take over, he just wanted the end of the world. While the others planned to use The original Experiment #9, this man secretly altered some of the bacteria, creating an even more dangerous variant which he hoped would cause the apocalypse.

Experiment #9-2 was different from the odorless, colorless, weakened bacteria. The current form of Experiment #9 glows a light green color, is able to survive in all kinds of outside environments, and moves on its own. When the extremist was done with his new version of Experiment #9, he released it inside of the terrorist's laboratory, like the madman he was.

The entire terrorist group is now gone... or maybe a more appropriate term would be consumed. Experiment #9-2 killed off the group's lesser bacteria, as well as the people themselves. Now Experiment #9 is loose upon the world, with no genetic weakness and no one to stop it.

Experiment #9 can kill a living organism in seconds, but it is a far cry from the end of the world. The madman's strange decision to give the bacteria a color means that it is noticeable and one can see it coming. In addition to this, the bacteria's faster metabolism still makes it hard pressed to survive, and has lead to surviving specimens of Experiment #9 clumping together and moving as one in search of food. The group nature of Experiment #9 and its light-green pigment are what give it its mist-like appearance, though some say it looks more like diffused poison gas than mist.

Currently there is only one known group of Experiment #9. This group has manifested itself as a large culmination of mist that slowly travels across the landscape and devours everything in its path. This "mist" moves at a fairly slow speed (approximately .6 mph orΒ  kph) and can be outwalked by the average human, but it is large, it is unyielding, and nothing so far has been known to deter it.

if it is mist, can it be blown away?

But in all seriousness it isn't that easy. Experiment #9 may be similar to mist, but it's huge sta.sh/04jh87ti2qi (you might need to zoom in to get a better view) and it would be extremely hard for anyone to find fans powerful enough to deflect it, let alone position them. If a single person slips up during this, or makes a mistake and gets to close to the mist, their death is assured.

Experiment #9 also moves on its own, which is why it may sometimes invade an area even though the wind is blowing the other way. In extreme cases the wind might push Experiment #9 if it is powerful enough, but a collection of entities that large is hard to entirely disperse.
