Description Yet another venture into 3D art... here's the fun part: I used Terragen, Blender, AND Photoshop to get this final product.

Anyway, enjoy and let me know what you think!

Maby if you worked on getting the piece more integrated into the terrain it would look better?, A bit of transparency and faking a reflection of it in the water surface.

Right now it just looks like a terragen terain with a big blue smudge thing on top.

You seem to have some great ideas, but you lack a bit in execution.

Not sure all thiese features exist in photoshop elements.. but try to copy the "ortal" onto a new layer. Then use free transform (right click with it selected with the marque tool) to mirror it, and then use the perspective tool in the free transform menu (Rightclick when in free transform mode) to make it get the right perspective relative to the water. You can then use the smudge tool to try and emulate the warping of the water.

(Take a look at this [link] piece of mine for an example of this technique in action)

Also play with some of the settins on the layer for a more integrated effect (transparency is a good idea for starters)

Im not sure all of thiese features exist in elements as i havent used it.

yeah, I hope to get in touch with some of the developers behind Terragen and Blender. Hopefully they'll come up with a more complete way to link the programs, but right now, if I tried to use any reflection effects, it would just show a bunch of black for the reflection... mmm...

I do like teregen and i think you've done a good job with that part.
I'm not sure what the blue spot is supose to be.

Maybe for your next Teragen piece you could put all your effort into just Teragen?
With a bit of work you can get some stunning images from Teragen, i think your more than capable of of pruducing them.
