I touched a ladybug today;I stroked its spotted shell
as it rested comfortably on my stomach,
letting me know that everything would be okay.

I took it on my finger
and let it crawl across my hand
until it spread its wings and flew away.

I thought it was luck when it came my way,
but when it didn’t stay,
